Why I Created This Book

As a photographer and traveler, I’ve always been fascinated by the outdoors. The Dolomites are an amazing area full with beautifull nature. But I have to admit it can be overcrowded, so you need to:

• decide what is the right time to visit the Dolomites
• decide what are the best spots to visit

I myself I really like the autumn and like to visit the Dolomites somewhere half to end of October. By then most of the crowds have left and things have started to calm down. On top of that the autumn colours are breathtaking and the light is the best.

Finding the spots is a matter of spending time on research using many tools such as google maps, hiking apps and many more. It is my hope my book can become one of these tools that can help you make your pick. Of course you want to see the wellknown spots as Lago di Braies and Alpe di Siusi and Tre Cime di Lavaredo. But my book also shows places like Cascate di Fanes. A beautifull hike leads you to an amazing waterfall. When I visited last time there were hardly any other people. Or Lago di Sorapis a stunning glacial lake with amazing coloured water.

This book is my way of sharing my journey. It combines my photography with practical tools so others can explore, discover, and create their own unforgettable moments in the Dolomites.
