About Spothunter Photography

My Story
My interest in photography has always been present. But I guess I started treating it more seriously about 6 years ago when I needed a break from corporate life. Fed up with all of it, bored to the bone, without any challenges.
Driven by a deep need to connect with nature, I began venturing outdoors with my camera, capturing the beauty and serenity of the natural and sometimes the human world.
I discovered that going out early in the mornings with your camera can heal your mind and can calm down your thoughts.
What motivates me
Nature is all inspiring to me. When you’re out in the silence of a beautiful landscape, it can heal your mind, it can calm down your thoughts. It is about the only place where my busy head can find peace.
An ideal day for me is that after a long hike through nature, you reach a certain spot that is just beautiful in itself and screams to photograph. It is the ultimate reward!
When you are out with a camera scouting for a scene, your pass slows down. You scan the area much more careful. You see a lot more detail, you see things you have not seen before. That experience alone is already rewarding. If you can make a strong photo, it is the ultimate reward.
My favourite time of the day is sunrise. It is that time when everything is quiet and the conditions are just remarkable. You see things you wont see at any other time of the day. Sure, sunset is beautiful as well, but sunrise is the ultimate experience.
My interests are, just as with anything else in my life, wide. I love shooting landscapes but also enjoy macro photography.
