This serene spot is historically significant as the legendary departure point of Saint Brendan the Navigator, who, according to tradition, set sail from here in the 6th century on a voyage across the Atlantic. In 1976, explorer Tim Severin embarked on a similar journey from Brandon Creek in a leather-clad boat, successfully demonstrating the plausibility of Saint Brendan's voyage. Today, Brandon Creek is a tranquil fishing harbor, offering visitors stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding rugged landscape.
