Most of the time I focus on landscape photography. I certainly don’t consider myself a wildlife photographer—far from it. That’s difficult enough when you live in the Netherlands. But every now and then, you come across a creature from the animal kingdom that you simply have to capture. The result is a series of photos brought together in this calendar.

About the Photographer

My name is Hylke Heidstra, a landscape and travel photographer. For more than 10 years, I have been capturing the beauty of mountains, coasts, and forests during my journeys. With an eye for detail and light, I bring together moments of silence and grandeur in my work.

The books, calendars, and fine art prints in this shop are carefully curated, printed on high-quality paper, and directly sourced from my own portfolio. I personally compiled and designed the books. Each product is an invitation to experience nature at home.
