Established in 1676 by Amsterdam regent Hiob de Wildt, the forest spans approximately 172 hectares and features stately beech avenues, diverse flora, and fauna. It extends from the village of Rijs to the shores of the IJsselmeer, offering visitors a blend of natural beauty and historical significance.
