Dunmore Head (Irish: An Dún Mór) is a prominent headland situated on the westernmost part of the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. It holds the distinction of being the westernmost point of mainland Ireland and one of the westernmost points of Europe. The headland is composed of steeply dipping beds of cross-bedded sandstones from the Eask Sandstone Formation, dating back to the Devonian period. Dunmore Head offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby Blasket Islands, making it a popular destination for hikers and photographers. The area is also notable for its rich archaeological heritage, including an Ogham stone situated on a hill overlooking the sea.
